Pear trees and a bear carved from redwood greet you as you walk up to the River House, located a mere 100 feet from the middle fork of the Tuolumne river.. You may hear the cries of Elon, the resident peacock, who roosts above the cabin. This rustic retreat accommodates up to eight people and features a large redwood deck and private outdoor lounge. Inside you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen that includes a redwood bar and granite countertops.

The River House is one of the original buildings at Spinning Wheel and was extensively remodeled recently. Much thought went into the details that make a place feel like home, whether it was the lighting, the furniture, or the curtains. Our guiding principal was to create a place where a family or group of friends could come together in comfort to enjoy one another’s company and experience the beauty of nearby Yosemite National Park.
